Riviera to the Alps by Rail

Day wise travel itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Paris – Seine River Cruise & Paris by Night

Welcome to Paris! On arrival at Paris International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. Complete the check-in formalities and spend some time relaxing.

Later in the evening, make your own way to the meeting point for a scenic Seine River Cruise. Enjoy approximately one hour on the river while admiring some of Paris’s most famous landmarks beautifully illuminated after sunset.

After the cruise, proceed independently to the departure point for an evening illumination tour. Discover the charm of Paris at night as you pass by iconic attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame, Place de la Concorde, Opera House and Arc de Triomphe, all beautifully lit up.

Return to your hotel after the tour and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in Paris.

Day 2: Paris Sightseeing

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. Later, proceed independently to the designated departure point for your Hop-On Hop-Off sightseeing tour.

This is a convenient way to explore the major attractions of Paris at your own pace. During the tour, you can see some of the city’s highlights, including the Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Concorde, Les Invalides, Alexander Bridge, Opera House and the famous Champs-Élysées.

You may also choose to visit the Eiffel Tower and enjoy spectacular panoramic views across Paris. Eiffel Tower admission is not included in the tour price and will be payable separately.

In the evening, you may choose to enjoy a traditional Moulin Rouge-style cabaret experience at an additional cost.

Day 3: Disneyland Paris

After breakfast, make your own way to the railway/metro station and travel to Disneyland Paris by train, or alternatively arrange a private taxi/cab at your own expense.

Spend the day enjoying the magic of Disneyland Paris. Depending on your selected ticket, explore either the classic Disney theme park or experience the attractions and entertainment at Walt Disney Studios.

Enjoy exciting rides, themed attractions and the magical atmosphere before making your way back to Paris.

Day 4: Paris – Chamonix

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and make your way to the railway station for your onward journey towards Geneva.

On arrival in Geneva, continue by bus to the beautiful mountain resort of Chamonix. Once you arrive, check in to your hotel and take some time to relax.

The evening is free for you to explore Chamonix independently. Take a leisurely walk through the charming village, enjoy the surrounding alpine scenery and admire the spectacular mountain views.

Day 5: Chamonix – Aiguille du Midi Excursion

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before proceeding independently to the tour meeting point.

Today, experience one of the most spectacular attractions in the French Alps – Aiguille du Midi. Take a cable car high into the mountains and enjoy breathtaking views of the Mont Blanc massif and the surrounding Alpine landscape.

Once at the summit, take in panoramic views stretching across the French, Swiss and Italian Alps. If you are looking for an extra thrill, you can also experience the famous glass viewing attraction, where you can look down towards the mountains below.

After enjoying the mountain experience, return to Chamonix and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 6: Chamonix – Geneva – Nice

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and travel by bus from Chamonix to Geneva.

From Geneva, take your onward flight to Nice. The flight from Geneva to Nice is not included in the tour cost and will be arranged at your own expense.

On arrival in Nice, make your own way to the hotel and complete the check-in formalities.

Later, enjoy some free time to explore the city. Take a relaxing walk along the famous Promenade des Anglais, admire the Mediterranean coastline and soak in the lively atmosphere of Nice.

Day 7: Nice City Tour

After breakfast, proceed independently to the designated departure point for your half-day city sightseeing tour of Nice.

Explore the highlights of this beautiful French Riviera city and discover its charming streets, impressive architecture and scenic coastal surroundings.

The remainder of the day is free for you to enjoy at your own pace. You may explore local markets, relax by the waterfront, shop for souvenirs or simply enjoy the atmosphere of Nice.

Day 8: Nice – Optional French Riviera Excursion

After breakfast, enjoy a day at leisure or choose an optional full-day excursion to explore some of the most beautiful destinations along the French Riviera.

The excursion takes you to scenic viewpoints overlooking Nice and Villefranche. Continue to the charming medieval village of Èze, known for its beautiful setting and long tradition of perfume making. You may also visit a local perfume facility and learn more about how fragrances are created.

Continue towards the Principality of Monaco, where you can explore the historic Old Town, see the famous cathedral and discover landmarks associated with Monaco’s royal heritage. The tour also includes views of the renowned Monaco Grand Prix circuit.

Return to Nice in the evening and enjoy a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 9: Nice – Departure

Enjoy your final breakfast at the hotel before checking out.

You will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home. Take with you wonderful memories of your journey through Paris, the French Alps and the beautiful French Riviera.
